Hi all. I've been lurking on here for a long time now. I've had a number of TDIs (great engines in some forms), but for the last 10 years I've been driving this 1981 VW Rabbit Pickup every summer day that I can. We've been through a number of engine evolutions, but a number of years ago, I decided to build a really torquie AAZ for it. It's balanced, ARP throughout, bored oversize with new pistons, new ported head, a Giles superpump, and a Garrett T3/T4 running 22 psi. I just couldn't be happier. It makes over 250 ft lbs, and in this light little pickup, that equates to rocket-like performance. Keep up the good work with this site. It's great.

Nice Caddy!
I've had a Caddy GT, really likeable little pickups

The AAZ is a great engine once you get rid of the 8mm pump head and the tiny turbo, at least around here they had a Garrett T2.

Agreed. Mine now has a 12mm head with the larger turbo.
