Help...they tell me I may need an ECU (computer) for my 1998 Jetta TDI, 5 speed. Does anyone have one that I can rent, borrow or buy?

You did not fix good. I had same code in mine and few other customer cars. Never had problem after fix vacuum line.jimc55 said:

When you changed the line, did you change it all the way inside the ECU at the sensor itself? Some folks just splice in a new line where it enters the ECU... whereas the hole is almost always inside the ECU just in front of the sensor.jimc55 said:

Or if you put wrong size hose it will do same thing. You need to know this line gets boost.

I changed the entire hose as you have described and installed a new N75 valve. Tomorrow I am going to install a turbo boost gauge to see how much boost I'm getting.
