Just got a MKV (after four sad years without a TDI...) and want to install the Alpine deck we have into the Jetta. Just wondering if anyone has hit any snags in doing this themselves? I have a basic understanding of how it all works and the parts we need - I know I need these three parts:

Am I missing anything? Are there any big difficulties in getting to the stereo, and getting it out?

I should add - in another life (about 8 years ago) I knew what I was doing when it came to stereo install, but somehow that knowledge has drained from my brain over time. So I appreciate the help!

I agree with the harness. Get the better one. Less work and better results. The antenna adapter looks right to me. I might get that or look at Crutchfield for one. The one I have only let's one of the antenna wires attach.
