Nozzle upgrade.....

Recently upgraded to a set of PP764 nozzles from Sprint 520s

vehicle has VNT17, 11mm injection pump, 3bar MAP, RC stg4, EGR delete, upgraded SMIC and pipes, turbo back 2.5", BoostValve manual overboost controller

test drove and vehicle has rough and white smoky idle, under WOT would overboost to around 35psi. swapped back the Sprint nozzles and same issue at idle, no more overboost. IQ is set around 5, pump timing is just slightly advanced from center. hesitation is much more noticeable with A/C on.

Any MVB i should check or log

With an 11mm IP, I suggest you raise the IQ. Is the IQ set at 5 with the Sprint's or the PP764's. With a 10mm IP, DBW suggests up to an IQ of 7 withPP764's.

If your RC4 isn't set up for the 764s, you're over-fueling. When I switched from PP520s to 764s in my car (also 11mm pump) I had to have it re-tuned to reduce smoke, and overboost.

Jeff says PP520s and RC4 is a sweet spot for these cars. I agree.
