After searching for over a year, I finally found my dream Touareg. However, I just came across a fantastic deal for a class A diesel pusher. He is willing to trade, but I figured I'd probably make out better if I sell it.

Details
2006 v10
Interstate warranty until 143k. Transferrable for $50. Previous owner has had both turbos replaced. Center carrier bearing replaced. A.c. blower replaced. Brand new tires and rear rotors/pads. 130k miles. Brand new PA inspection. I can text pictures if needed.

Obviously every option except heated steering wheel and rear diff lock, including 4 zone climate control, air sus, center diff, etc.

Asking $18000 obo because of the piece of mind the warranty provides.

There is 1 issue that I tried to have the dealer diagnose but they couldn't replicate it. The brake pedal sinks to the floor when going super slow like when backing out of a parking space. Or idling through bumper to bumper traffic. It only happens at very slow speed. If you lift off and repress it is solid and feels normal. The entire braking system is covered under the warranty, I just haven't had time to take it back. Just drove it 2200 miles from PA to FL and back and had zero issues. 22mpg with a HUGE rooftop carrier @ 70 mpg.

Open to reasonable offers including trades plus cash. Might be willing to throw in a set of 19" factory wheels and blizzaks with less than 500 miles.

Craigslist price is mostly to keep tire kickers away and is a starting point. Feel free to send me any and all offers.

It's on Ebay. Asking 13000. No reasonable offer refused. Really need to get a commuter car with mileage back around 40mpg. The commute is killing me.

The brake pedal thing...

On Diesels this is common.

If it's not running and you hit the breaks it should not sink. If it sinks Master cylinder is probably due for replacement.

If it's running/driving and you stomp on it it should not sink.

If it's idling in park or going super slow and you depress the pedal lightly but keep constant pressure it might slowly sink but the braking force will remain just as good (as in your vehicle won't start creeping forward, if it does Master Cyl is bad). This has to do with the Vacuum assist on diesels (since they don't make enough/any vacuum to operate a vacuum assisted hydraulic break system.

A test you can do is disconnect the Vacuum from the booster and the pedal will not sink. If it does the master is bad.

I forget the name of it but it's something fancy like Diesel Vacuum transference (made that up) The drop in the pedal comes from the vacuum booster replenishing it's vacuum after you hit the pedal Then your getting too
much vacuum and it has to go somewhere so it goes by the seals. As long as the pedal doesn't sink right to the floor you're fine. They make zero-loss boosters (they have a vacuum bypass passage built in) for diesels now to address that "symptom" but don't think they do for TDI.

Anyways it's a nothingburger

Thanks! It doesnt really concern me. What does is the fact that I couldn't get to a v10 before it sold 5 months ago. Now I cant give this thing away!
