1.6L TDI Tiguan???

Could totally be loosing it here but I swear I saw a 1.6L TDI small SUV in Toronto Ontario two days ago. Pretty sure it was a newer Tiguan. Never heard of a 1.6TDI in North America so I'm assuming it was either imported or just rebadged.

Anyone else see such a thing in North America?

Nope. To my knowledge the TDI Tiguan was never offered in the Canadian or US market. Perhaps it's an import from Europe as you suggested.
