We are moving to the mountains and unfortunately have to part with the TDI in favor of a higher clearance/AWD vehicle. I bought the car from my parents, who were the original owners and therefore have maintenance records going back all the way to the beginning.

Drivetrain: 174k miles, 5-speed manual transmission, timing chain replaced at 82k miles (2011), seals on the high-pressure fuel pump replaced at 110k miles (2012), I have been running Royal Purple 5W30 in it since 2013.

Body: Great condition, free of significant damage, paint condition is fair.

Interior: Leather seats in good condition, headliner was replaced approximately 2 years ago.

Misc: Tires have approximately 7k miles on them, battery is < 1 year old, brake pads were replaced and rotors turned earlier this year.

Projects for new owner:
- The AC compressor was replaced in 2015; the system worked well after I refilled the freon in February, but I apparently have a leak, because it’s not blowing cold anymore.

- The CD player works, but the radio does not; it acts like the antenna connector has come loose, but I have not had a chance to troubleshoot the issue.

- The electric lock on the rear passenger-side door does not work reliably.

- The front passenger-side window needs help to roll up.

- The passenger-side seat heater does not work.

- Although the car is running fine, the check engine light is on. I just hooked up the OBD reader and this is what I got:

-- P0672/P0674 – One of these is probably a simple case of a glow plug that needs to be replaced, but the cylinder 4 code is likely a bad wire, because I’ve replaced the plug several times and can’t ever seem to get it to stop throwing that code.

-- P0228 – “TPS/Petal Position Sensor/Switch C Circuit High Input” – I haven’t done any research on this, but will clear it and see if comes back when I drive it a bit more.

-- P0128 – “Coolant Temp Below Thermostat Regulating Temp” – Same deal: I don’t know what this is about, but will clear it and see if comes back.

Absolutely! It runs well, I just wanted to be up front and list all the issues/potential issues so as not to waste anybody's time. It may be a warm drive from San Antonio to Houston though...

can I drive it home
