Car wont start?

so i got in my 2001 tdi this morning put the key in everything lit up on the dash radio came on went to roll it over not even a click or anything Eveything eletrical works don't think its the starter cause it has not give me any trouble to date quick starts everytime.. the battery light is on after the glow plug lights go out ... I need to go to nova scotia next week. need some help ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks Rob that helped i am in the process of charging but am defintly going to try some of that stuff

Exact same thing happened to my TDI a couple of months ago, just all of sudden, one day, it woudn't make a sound, no clicking or anything. I also had plenty of power in the car and the battery was fine. We were able to "bump start" the car no problem, turns out, it was the large copper wire going from the starter solenoid to the starter motor (very short wire, and I guess its quite common for it to fray and come apart over time). Might not be your issue, but have a look at the top of the starter to see if you notice anything not right.
