2006 Jetta TDI DSG – Package 2 options

1 owner
Asking $4,495

Location: Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

Car made – August 2006
Purchased May 11, 2007
Car is completely stock except for: trailer hitch 5/30/2007 (nothing ever towed – used for bike rack), Frostheater (installed December 2008), new tires at 66,600 miles, 12/16/2011 (so yes, the current tires have 63,000 miles on them), new battery 11/28/2017, timing belt at 100,043 miles (Courtesy Auto – Madison, WI, 4/22/2015), replaced passenger side mirror, new belly pan and crankshaft belt 6/24/2017.

All oil and filter changes at recommended intervals, self-performed, except first oil change done at dealer (and yes, the service rep wrote up the order for Castrol GTX (non 505.01 oil), but my friend caught this and pointed it out to them!)

Warranty services – repaired broken windshield washer hose, Q8 recall: inspect and modify headlamps if needed.

Car always garaged.

Car is very clean inside, leather seats in good shape, and still have the original floor mats.

Recent MPG – October 1, 2017 through April 14, 2018. 5345 miles, 135.43 gal. = 39.47 MPG

Issues noted:
Code 02394 – Parking Light Left Front, 012 Electrical fault in circuit – Intermittent (the light works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t – never bothered to try and fix it. Currently, it is working and the dashboard light is not on.)

Code 01218 – Side airbag igniter; passenger side (N200) 001 upper limit exceeded – Intermittent – MIL On. The airbag light has gone on for a while and off for a while. Currently it is on. In going through my file, I see I got a letter from VW in 2011 about service action 97U3/T3 concerning the front side airbags. I wasn’t having an issue then and never took it in for the free work. The letter says you could have the work done until January 14, 2013.

There is a clicking noise when heater fan runs (tried the “fix” to reset the vent door, but this did not stop the clicking).

Car has several spots were rust has bubbled up through the paint and there are few minor dings, but overall in good shape.
