I am selling my beloved 2003 Blue 5 Speed manual Jetta here in S. Maryland.
(I just bought a 2015 Jetta TDI SEL 6 Speed Manual)
She has 418,000 miles, well maintained but well used
The Good:
Always professionally maintained by Oliver (TdiRacing) with top line Amsoil or Castroil oil, Redline Trans oil, 2 Micron Bypass Dieselgeek filter,
Power Service diesel additive or EDT(Every Day Treatment) always used, (never a grease car), top of the line parts installed for all services.
This is a southern car from South Carolina. Body is solid with no rot.
Power Sunroof and power tinted windows.
Engine runs strong and the AC blows nice and cold, the heat is excellent, new thermostat 3K ago.
I have never had it in an accident except backing into a pole slowly, rear bumper paint cracked and flaked off.
New front brake/calipers/rotors/fluid 2K ago
OZ 16" Superlegerra wheels(super lightweight) with Conti DWS Extreme tires 50% left, filled with Nitrogen since new.
Rocketchip 2 with Sprint 520 injectors installed.
New Clutch/Flywheel/Pressure plate/release bearing 20K ago (South bend Stage 2 I believe, should last a long time)
Trans shifts cleanly, never any problems, use Redline Gear Oil
EGR Delete with Race Pipe installed and proper programming.
New timing belt 20K ago, Prof. done with bronze water pump (100K unit)
New OEM cam and lifters replaced @ 320K by Oliver Wegener with timing belt and bronze water pump.
3 Spoke VW Steering wheel
Audi TT bushings installed with touring shocks & new dogbone motor mount (Handles very well).
DieselGeek 5 Speed Short Shifter
Great quality tinted windows (street legal, passes inspection)
Vent Visors all around in perfect condition
Panzer Plate Engine protection pan.
Heated leather seats (Upgraded)
Heated mirrors both sides work, driver's side is tinted blue factory glass.
Monsoon audio system.
Oettenger front Grille
Bosch AGM Battery 3 Years old (Top of the line)
Loads of extra maintenance parts including new aftermarket headlights in box and new glass lenses
for existing stock headlights in box still, oil and air filters, stock injectors.
The Bad/Ugly:
Engine light has been on as long as I've had her, cleared it the other day and it's the glow plug harness
error and has stayed clear for now.
Airbag light is on since installed leather heated front seats
Possibly could use new glow plug harness (Still starts @ 5 Degrees F)
Clear coating on paint is peeling off on hood and roof only, still nice on sides.
Console hinge broken (Have a whole Black leather one for replacement)
Headliner is coming loose and sagging
Passenger seat heat doesn't work (Driver's works)
Two holes in roof from prof. installed Ham radio mounts (No leaks)
Left rear quarter has antenna mount, prof done.
Rear bumper paint is cracking/flaking off (I bumped a pole)
Fuel filter weeps a bit, we can't seem to see why...
Various body dings and scratches, 2-3 surface rust spots on front end no body rot at all (Southern car)
Overall:
This is a great TDI and it's been super reliable. The chassis is still tight with hardly any squeaks or rattles.
I have owned this TDI since 2010 and this is #2 of 4 owned, I know how and have properly maintained this TDI.
I have bought a 2015 TDI Jetta 6 Speed Manual SEL and have too many cars in the corral, she need to go.
I just want someone that appreciates a great reliable TDI to drive for a good price.
