AC Hoses

I just bought a 2000 Jetta TDI with a leak on one of the AC hoses (the longer one coming out of the compressor). Then I discovered that the other hose coming out of the compressor has been welded as well... The dealer quoted $389 for the first and $269 for the other. So I thought I should look around on the web and see if someone sells it cheaper.

I found quite a few sites that sell major AC equipment for VW, like compressors, evaporators, etc, bot no one seems to have these hoses.

I was wondering if anyone can point me to someone who may have such hoses in stock, new or used.

I have a brother, who currently lives in Germany, and he will be checking for me too, but I'm not sure if the AC system for the Borras in Germany is the same as the Jettas in the US?

Try searching Google Local for "Hose fabrication". Maybe "AC hose Fab..." There are shops that can custon make most hoses including AC hoses. All they need is the sample.
