I can't see any of the details in terms of what ECM, measuring blocks and values are feeding into the plot above.

Not all measuring blocks are created equal. It would seem odd that a measuring block would have it's own time value as a channel but I guess it wouldn't surprise me, I just haven't seen that before. What would you want it to do with this channel's data then?

Sorry, I should've included a better image. This one should be better. Also here's the first lines of my log file:

Also note in the image that the field headings are not using the field names from line 6; makes me wonder if my data logs have a different format. (They are Canadian:)

I figured out the problem. I was using Advanced Measuring Values, in which case the log file format is different. If I use Measuring Blocks, the results are much better.

Hmm, strange. It shows just first reading (Engine speed,MAF (specified),MAF (actual),EGR duty cycle - just engine speed is displayed).
And I can not see your .csv file with the v-scope installed. Strange but I can not figure out what is the problem.

Bump for a thread that deserves sticky status or at the very least a mention in the TDI 101: How To thread.

Now, for my question.
Can anyone make some suggestions of what would make good groups of measuring blocks to graph against one another?
I'm looking to just check on general health of my car, plus I'm troubleshooting what might be the very slightest of hesitations under acceleration. It almost feels like a vibration, but I don't think it's mechanical or rotational drive train type of thing... it could be a fueling hesitation, but it's only under heavy acceleration (say ~3k rpm).

If possible I'd like to use JollyGreen's application to lay out some graphs to help me seek advice from the community, so any suggestions of good values to graph together would be appreciated.

Just click (and hold down mouse button) on the log you want and drag it on top of the LogPlottingApplication.

Just bumping this thread up for newer users who may not be aware of JollyGreenGiant's excellent graphing tool.

Support for Adv Measuring blocks would be fantastic as that's all some of the newer cars have.

Thread is now a sticky.

Does this program still work?

I have the current VCDS program, and the CSV output does not seem to work with this program. Can anyone shed some light on what changes to the current CSV file outputs might allow it to work?

Old host was no longer, hosting it off Dropbox now, first post updated.

I have no intentions of making any changes to this program at this time, it was written a long time ago in a place far away...

Northwest Florida TDI Owner in need ofVCDS program

I live in Northwest Florida, I am in some series need of VCDS help. More I need someone who knows MK4 ALH TDI's help. My TDI I love it I have replaced the Fuel pump seals. But I don't have a way to verify if its calibrated. Also the car has to prime it self every time I start it turning the starter for up to 10 seconds every time it turns on even when its warm. Car goes into limp Mode at low RPM's. Lots of little things wrong with the car I have owned it for 3 years and love it. I have replaced the turbo after it blew and the engine ran away. Replaced every sensor that has something to do with limp-mode. Im at my wits end. if anyone lives near me please help.
