The B7 Panzer follows the time tested MK5/MK6 Panzer in design but is tailored just for the Passat. It features nice, stout stainless steel front mounting brackets with a total of four rivnut anchors for great impact absorption. In the rear we use the three 8mm stock threaded anchor points in the subframe that the belly pan uses so the install is even easier than the MK5 Panzer. The Panzer also uses the stock belly pan to keep your car nice and quiet and the engine bay clean. You lose no ground clearance and total weight added to the car is about 22 pounds down nice and low. The Panzer will keep your Passat on the road by protecting the delicate aluminum oil pan from roadkill and other road debris, semi truck retreads, ice chunks, speed bumps and parking curbs.
