Recommended online vendor for new 03 Jetta wagon tail light assembly?

I went ahead and ordered the tail light assembly from partsgeek for $109 -- the local VW Stealer wanted $160+ tax!

Its an original light so I don't think you'll have any problems with it. Replace all bulbs while you're in there...mine burned out within 2 months of each other.

Were you at the GTG last month? I upgraded mine to Euro versions there so you could have had both the old ones for less than what you paid for one.

Thanks, guys! I took your advice and replaced all the bulbs. My recommendation is for a magnetic 8mm socket to start the nuts, and of course a deep 8mm socket to finish. Get spare nuts as unless you're really lucky, several will drop into the depths of the body where the bumper attaches - and not be recoverable.
