Wiring; converting dual stage fan to single stage.

I have the ALH in my rabbit now and am running a Scirocco rad with a dual electric fan w/shroud. The fans are single stage. Which wires should I hook up as I am running complete 98 beetle wiring and fan control box.

Assuming this is possible.. Could I just run the high fan speed for each stage? If so, which wire would I want, the thicker one?

One fan speed has a resistor in-line (internal to the fan).
You could just play with it, with 12V and ground, see which one is faster.


For my swap, I didn't use the mk4 fan control circuit.
I used a mk2 dual temp fan switch and a mk2 dual speed fan.
Very simple to wire up, 12V and ground.
