2014 bmw 328d

Found this car for sale for only 22,900. Looked at Carfax report and it says the engine was replaced at 34,000 miles and some accident damage. then it says "Vehicle reacquired by the manufacturer pursuant to applicable state consumer warranty laws or to promote customer satisfaction." "Later says manufacturer buyback or lemon reported"

What do you think that means?

It means pretty much what it says, lemon car taken back by BMW. Good luck.

Is that the black one on Autotrader north of Boston? If so I wondered why it was so cheap. Now I know. I agree. Run away.

I agree. Any chance it would be a good buy at $18K after having a mechanic check it out? And yes, it is the black one on autotrader.

I don't think so. It's always less expensive to buy something in good condition than to have a car repaired. And BMWs in particular aren't inexpensive to repair.
