2014 vs 2013 passat tdi se msrp

someone correct me if i am wrong but the vw configurator says msrp for a 2014 passat tdi se is $26,295. wasn't the msrp for the outgoing 2013 right about $27,200. did vw just drop the msrp $1000?

if i am have my facts straight (still a little mind-boggled) and vw did not decontent the trim line then i would say that's almost an automotive first.

comments? thoughts?

2013 tdi se 6mt: $26,225
2014 tdi se 6mt: $26,295

Hmmm.... says that the rearview camera is available even on the base TDI SE w/out Nav. I wonder what the headunit is? "Premium VIII touchscreen sound system with HD Radio™, MP3- and WMA-compatible in-dash CD player and AM/FM radio "

I'd love to add this to mine w/out the need to upgrade to an RNS-510/Nav.

"available", as an option likely and that HU sounds like the RCD510 which as far as i remember doesn't have a way to add a camera to, but i might be wrong...

"Rearview Camera" is listed as standard on the TDI SE 6MT.

The rearview is listed as standard on the '14 Beetle TDi (non Nav) as well. Someone else mentioned the same for '14 Tiguan. Either VW has a major typo in their literature or they rev'd the RCD-510.

Ugh...more electrical crap that can crap out. Take us back to simpler times VW... !
