I'm refinishing a set of Montereys to serve as winters. Anybody have any recommendations for a good quality paint that matches the OEM silver colour well? I'm looking at the DupliColor Hyper Silver wheel refinishing kit but I'm worried it's going to come out a bit too bright.

Here in town there’s a place that powdercoats for $65 a wheel. This a DIY?

Yah. I'm just looking for something on the cheap to use for winter wheels. I've already cleaned and sanded them down. Primer going on tomorrow. Think I might just use Duplicolor Reflex Silver.

"BMW 354" is a good color match for the OEM silver paint. Someone here suggested it and I found it to be a good match.

I used a 93 dodge ram silver to repaint a set of VW wheels years ago (MKII) along with several other wheels. Nice rich silver with fairly heavy metal flake - definitely darker than reflex silver. This was actual automotive paint though - not rattle cans.

Since you got em loose off the car, it may not cost much to sand/bead blast them.
