I bought a larger car, primarily for dogs. I really hate to sell it, I love it, but time marches on.
My Jetta has 235,000 miles. Probably 95% highway miles. I had the timing belt changed at 90,000 miles and again and 190,000 miles
Since day 1 I have used synthetic oil.

Steering wheel controls can control my Ipod or radio.
