This procedure should be included in every 5th gear swap or repair.
Adjusting 5th gear
– Engage 5th gear. Loosen bolt -1-. Push locking collar {red} and selector jaw {blue}in direction of arrows and then tighten bolt -1- to 25 Nm.
l Check measurement: It must not be possible to slide a 0.2 mm feeler gauge between locking collar and gear wheel {green} If necessary, repeat adjustment.
– Disengage 5th gear. Locking collar must now be in the neutral position. Synchro-ring must move freely.
– Mount gearbox housing cover.
