Squeaking wiper Linkage

Hi folks,

During today's rain, the wiper linkage (at least that is what I assume it is) on my 02 Jetta started squeaking to beat all after running for a couple minutes. The sound is a real high pitched squeak coming from approximately under the center of the dash. It occurs right at the end of the wiper down sweep when the blades are set to go back up for the next wipe. Any tips or experience with this. I'm going to break out the Bently this evening and tear into I guess.

sounds like a lubrication issue which seems to be common with these things. Take care of it soon because the linkage can bind and break.

Try some waterproof grease for the joints.
