Rough start

Any ideas on the issue? Started a few months ago. Sometimes it takes two tries to start, or hold key in crank until it fires. Stock besides EGR being unplugged. Runs great after it’s started.

Might be losing a little prime from the check valve in the tandem pump going bad so it takes a second for the fuel to get to the injectors.

That makes sense. I guess the only fix is to replace tandem pump

You can put a cheap check valve in the fuel line too but the only way to fix it right is a new tandem pump.

I may try the check valve if I can find one just to make sure it’s the pump.

It’s early and my brain isn’t up to par yet, but which line would the valve go in?
