Any harm removing engine cover?

My question is, are any of you concerned about the dipstick? I don't think I would be very comfortable with it being unsupported, and the cover seems to do this. Just a thought.

I feel worse about repeatedly taking the cover off and putting it back on over that unsupported dipstick tube. That's probably worse for it than running without the cover.

I was thinking it might have something to do with air flow and by leaveing it on it might make air come through the front and over the engion better there by keeping it cooler. I have left mine on so far!!!! I can see the cover on the hood getting dirty and maybe chipping if you take the engion cover off too!!! I'm new to this!!! Just Idea's
