RUG is still $1.95, but diesel went up to $2.43 at the local Speedway.

I filled up three TDIs in the last four days: two for $1.999/gallon and the other for $2.099. Not free but it seems pretty close to free.

It's now 84 cents a litre CDN today. It takes about 3.8l to make a US gallon, not bad 25 percent cheaper than 2 months ago

I actually paid 2 cents/gallon less at a nearby Casey's. But this KwikTrip was the only station I saw where the diesel was less than the regular gasoline.

In past years I've found that if diesel prices ever fall under RUG, it often happens around May 10th. Not at every station, and not in every state. But diesel has been holding steady while gasoline prices are gradually rising.

Let's see, that is about CDN $3.179 per U.S. gallon, or about US $2.33. If it drops another 8¢ CDN to 76¢/L, then your price of CDN $2.87/gallon will equal US $1.99.

Diesel prices have just started climbing too. Distillate demand is up to 3.4 million barrels per day from the bottom of 3 million bpd. Still off from 4 million bpd this time last year.

End of last week, I filled the truck for $1.51 in Lake Wylie, SC. I think rug was $1.58. On the other side of the river, D2 is $2.74.

Locally here in SE PA diesel seems to have bottomed out at $2.33/gal but
just in the last few days is climbing fast, now at $2.49.
As usual, prices are very slow to fall, but the merest hint of the price of a
barrel of oil going up and they take off.
