glow plug light flashing

read some posts on here about the gpl flashing my 98 started this today i check the brake light and none of them work. what is the next step or what should i replace?. Thanks Brad

Try the bulbs first, mine were all gone at the same time.

thats hard to believe they all went at once i just checked this car for inspection last week and they were all working. what is next if the bulbs are good?.

brake pedal switch. I had to replace mine a couple months back. ~20 bucks if the part is the same for the A3 as it is for the B4.

Check the light bulbs (ohm meter) replace if necessary.

If they were all working last week, it is probably the switch. Hardest part of this is finding a position to put your body while removing/replacing. I don't recall any tools being needed.
