Passat b5.5 hard shifting

Hi All,

i have passat b5.5. Its hard shifting between 2 to 3 gear also its hard shifting when setting "D" drive.
Kindly assist.

OBD works, start there. If nothing on the electronic side shows anything, then perhaps check the mounts... specifically the front snub mount below the radiator, with the bracket that attaches to the oil pan.

At 215k both tranny mounts and snub mount were shot on my car

Hey day walker....a little more info would help...mileage on the trans? When was the last time the oil/filter was changed? Who did the oil/filter change?

It is shifting hard on strong acceleration or slow acceleration or all the time?

There is nothing on OBD. The issue is not mounts. Its only "hit" when shifting to some gears. ATF changed as well as ATF filter. At workshop they says its related to gear valves. If so, is there a way to find out which valve are bad?
