I have a parts Jetta, that came with 2 keys and remotes, and my driver beetle that had only 1 key and a dead fob.
Just switched the tumblers over but while trying to disassemble the key from the beetle I broke the rfid chip I believe. Was going to try to just tuck the rfid on the old immobilizer and essentially delete it.
My question is, now that it's nfg can I put the ECM from the Jetta (manual) into the beetle (automatic) so that I can get it out of the wife's parking spot before she gets home? And will it drive? Been meaning to get a vagcom but haven't yet. I'm an hour to the closest vw dealer.
