Hello:
As you may have read in another thread, my 2013 Jetta TDI quit with flashing glowplug light and was diagnosed with a complete fuel system failure (pump fail and contaminated fuel system. Luckily, it was repaired under the emmisions warranty.
My questiion for those who have had a repair done or work in a VW dealership, what is the likelyhood of the pump failing again? Is it a ticking time bomb and will go again or did they upgrade anything in the repair to prevent future failure. My last TDI (2003) had 300k and no HPFP failure.
I am trying to find out so we can either keep the car we really like and relax or if we should sell it before the warranty has expired. The though of a repair costing $6-9K on a car that would only be worth $6-9K, is crazy.
Thank you.
