Partial Modification

When I picked up my CPO 2015 Golf I specifically asked if Phase 2 had been completed and they assured me that it was. VW's website shows "partial". Does that mean only Phase 1 has been completed?

If you're under 40K mi. (for a DSG) or 70k mi. (for a manual), you likely had Phase 2A done, but not 2B, so your VIN would show as partial completion.

Verify by checking the "TDI Emissions Modification - Proof of Partial Completion" stickers on the underside of the hood in the driver's rear corner. A (light blue) Partial Completion sticker indicates Phase 1 completed. A second (light beige) Partial Completion sticker indicates Phase 2A completed. A (yellow) Proof of Completion sticker indicates 2A & 2B completed.

Must be. I missed that whole thing in your post.

I have bought two of these certified both list as partial on the website but the fix has been done.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure what the stickers meant in comparison what the VW website was saying.
