Probably have 10.000 miles on mine since putting it in and still love it. Car shifts like new again with no rattling.

that is a smokin' deal!! I can speak from direct experience this is a very strong kit, my 05' golf's PO had this kit installed, and after i bought the car i installed 17/22, pd150's, tune and other supporting mods... it had just started to slip ever so slighty before I returned the car to stock hardware and only under full assault ... its also a very very smooth unit

I have 120K on my Luk 17-050 kit. Still as smooth and silky as when I installed it. A great clutch for a car with no more than light mods.

Sorry for the late reply, I picked it up in the US at CBI in Niagara Falls, NY - shipping was free.

reviving an old thread here.... I ordered this Luk clutch kit off amazon for $241 (shipped free with prime 2 day) and everything looks as expected. As for the job, so far everything is going pretty well. This is my first clutch job and my only concern is with the throw out bearing. It comes with a plastic clip on it and I can't believe that stays on, does it? If it stays on, then how the heck do you get it on the transmission spline, it definitely doesn't just slide on.

they plastic clips are fine ... you won't have any issues ... some sachs kits come with the same release bearing

Any idea what kind of torque a LUK will hold? My 99.5 TDI has 280K and the clutch is starting to get tired. Changing the turbo next week to a VNT 17 so that may finish off the clutch. Would be nice to find a replacement that can go as far as the stock clutch has been.

it does not come with a fork ... there is no reason to replace it unless the pivot ball has failed and worn the socket
