Looking to see if anyone can recommend a Shop around Chicago or South Bend, IN that rebuilds Auto Transmissions for VW TDIs and offers a warranty on them.

Can't believe someone hasn't said this but swap it... you can pay someone to do the full swap for what a rebuild will cost you. You will get 10mpg more and have a more reliable vehicle.
