ABS Wheel Speed Sensor

I just pulled up a code saying that my left rear wheel speed sensor has an intermittant signal. The ABS light is on in my instrument cluster. Can anyone tell me anything about this? It's a 99.5 NB TDi

Check inside the connector for good connection and see if it is green--also see if wheel bearing is loose--and wiring to it--if all is well you most likely need a sensor

I have noticed the sensor can pick up metal crud as well. Flakes of rusty iron etc. which interfere with the signal.

My front-right has been faulty for the last 40K miles after doing some suspension work. I would also suggest using a little dielectric grease on the connectors.
