Had the same 19463 code on my '05 BEW Golf. Had it for probably a month or better, but never noticed any difference in the way it ran. Got tired of the CEL staring at me, so I took it to my mechanic. Had him replace the CPS and $245 later the CEL was gone!

Sorry this wasn't a whole lot of help.
