steering wheel upgrade..

Hey people.. curious as to what will fit my 2011 jetta nav. kessy..manual shift .would ,like to get the flat bottom and both mfd controls.... (saw these total black ones) on ebay..says it will fit.. searched here not much info I could find.. any help would be REALLY appreciated!. thanx again.. That's a 2015+ wheel. But should fit without issues on any mk6. Pretty cheap for having paddle shift and being heated. Good luck!

searched here.. not much helpful info... I could fine..found another one..in the u.s...really would like a flat bottom.. surely someone here has thought of this or done this.. I tried vortex.. it is painfully slow loading pages..please..any help?? I asked about the mfd switches on the steering wheel a couple of weeks ago and no help...c'mon anybody?? I've already replied to you, what answer do you need? Even the listing says to send them vin to verify fitment. I'm a former shop owner ASE and GM Master + L1 certified, but I don't understand what that has to do with your picking a mfsw.. again, good luck.

Fitment is a simple/incomplete answer..Thanx for the abrupt answer though..Have you actually done this??? the answer I would LIKE to know is will my 2011 airbag fit?.. will I need to get another mfd module?..harness?...What functions can I use...sure it will most likely fit the steering shaft (fitment)..but there is alot more to it than that ..(will I need other parts..e.g. airbag..module etc...).I cannot rely on a Chinese person 10,000 miles away that wants to sell me a product and get a truthful knowledgeable answer..I assumed that maybe someone here has actually done this..to verify the compatibility...maybe not..But I would bet 50.00 someone has

Well that probably should have been your original question. I'm assuming you're a tech? Do the airbags look the same? Don't you have an account with VW for your shop to buy parts? I'm pretty friendly with most parts guys I deal with and they can tell you if it's the same bag or not. Srs coil is probably the same. As far as controls, that's as simple as coding with vagcom. You could always pull the bag and check retention mounts and harness connectors. That takes about a minute.

well..I had hoped I am beyond "tech" ... graduated in '84 electronics engineer.. opened my shop some 20 years ago.. mostly I restore classic Pontiac GTO's.. but I also do VW and other repairs and upgrades...yea account with VW...I could do as you said but without the "other later steering wheel in hand"...to compare...I'm kinda in the dark...as my dealer is as far as "upgrades" and incompatibilities.( no 2015 later steering wheel in stock ). from what I can tell the airbags are the same between 11-14 jettas.. 15 and later are different..some say otherwise.. that is a problem....kinda why I had hoped someone has done this before...would make it so much easier to move forward! I hate buying something only to find out I may need another 400.00 to make it work! VW Vortex may have more info..but my shop is "out" of the city limits and can only internet connect at 6.0MB's..not the 100 mb.. as others! and they are sooo slow loading pages......Thanx friend!..

I didn't know heated steering wheel was an option on these cars! Now I wish I had it, I loved it in my BMW.

well I bought this new wheel "complete"( mkvi gli the dual mfs's with the red stitching) for 440.00, really sharp/beautiful looking! he had 4 of them..2 left,,another EXACT same wheel sold a few days ago for 800.00!! + 98.00 shipping ..it had paddles.. ...then another guy has a used one for 550.00 plus 19.00 shipping,,would not budge on price.. I hope it is what it is!! Looks very nice! I'd like one for my golf, but it already has a pretty nice wheel, and that's a bit pricier than I could justify right now. Maybe I'll grab a used gti/gli/r wheel at some point if the price is right.
