Not diesel related, but its in a diesel so i'm asking here.
2011 Sportwagen TDI
My radio doesn't turn on until 5-60 minutes into my drive. It's not electrical, as the "buttons" make audible beeping sounds when I push them, so i know there is power to the head unit. The screen is completely black, and when it comes on, the last station is still selected, but its fuzzy. Once you reelect a station, it works fine, until you turn the car off again.
Yesterday i disconnected the battery for a couple minutes, and when i fired up the car it worked fine. Even turned it on and off a couple times to make sure. The wife took it out after I got home, and it was back to not working. It takes longer and longer to turn on as time goes on. It started 2 weeks ago and would turn on after 5 mins, but now its up to an hour. My commute is an hour, so this really sucks.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
