Looks like I need to replace mine - '06 jetta

I'm wondering the pros and cons of spending ~200

Half of the miles on my car are 'road trips' and I've been reading that this particular part will save me bio-diesel fuel in the long run. Any truth in that?

As in save fuel? Better aerodynamics? Not a whole lot, but maybe a 1-2%.

I am not sure if yours is a MKV or MKIV...and if MKV are as weak as the MKIV in what concerns the oil pan. But for 200...I would spend some more and get a aluminum skidplate from EvolutionImport.com Or from dieselgeek.com.

A lot of ppl busted their oul pans without one and a whole lot more saved them by using one of these.
