2010-2014 VW Golf headliner fail. Happen to you too?

Just curious how many Golf owners have lost their headliners or have separation..

Seems like every one I have ever seen has separated like mine.

Both of my JSW's have the pano roof so I think they're good due to less surface area. Maybe the non-pano JSW's have issues...don't know.

I think it's a defect from the German factory.

The dealer wants >$500 to replace it!

The headliners have been junk for sometime now.

My '06 Jetta 2.5 (no sunroof) had its replaced under warranty. The '11 in my signature (pano roof) is separating at the sharp corners (sun visor area and grab handles) but we are holding until the last minute before the CPO warranty is up to have it replaced.

Recommend finding an auto upholstery place to do the replacement. Granted, less than 10 years is not optimal to have to replace it.

I had both a 2002 New Beetle and an '07 Rabbit done by a place here in the L.A. area for $350 and $250 respectively (sunroof on the NB) in the past year. Sold the Rabbit, but the NB work I'm hoping will last another 10 yrs.

The wife loves her Riviera Blue NB, so it's not going anywhere soon!

I have a 09 Jetta and the headliner separated just over a year now...

Wow...I thought the panos didn't have problems due to different manufacturing facility and less weight of the overall material. Guess I'll have to keep an eye on them.

Non sunroof model here; so far so good
323k km (200k+ miles) on Candy White.

It's colder here, much less humid. Maybe that's a factor.
