What oil for TDI

Rotella T6 synth 5w40 and/or Delo full synthetic 5w40. These are comparable and compete directly.

I use either the Mann 940/25 or comparable Mahle filter.

Oil filter is easy to change out on a mk3/b4. Not sure what issues you all have, but it's a 5 minute job to change it. Also I ain't trusting any oil filter longer than a trust the oil. Period. I know it's kinda anal about that but it's one of those, best to not chance it. Besides I always pull apart the filter to inspect for metal and other contaminates
