Will 3.0 Second Generation Fix Be A Slam Dunk?

Now that the 2.0 fix has been approved?
I know the deadline is December 20 for them to implement the Second Generation 3.0 fix before penalties kick in, but any word on when we will have word on whether the 3.0 second generation vehicles will be fixed or bought back?

From court documents, a fix was submitted in June and is undergoing EPA and CARB testing.

Do you know how long it took for the 2.0 fix to be approved after submission by VW?

Given that VW negotiated and accepted the timeline and significant penalty provisions for failure associated with the potential fix, and given their success in getting a fix approved for most of the 2.0 cars, I think the probability of an approved fix for the 3.0 prior to the deadline is quite high.

If they get an approved fix I hope it doesn’t have the same issues that they’re having in Europe.
