I checked my front brake on my 2000 tdi Jetta . I notice that the inner left pad was getting down so I removed the caliper . The sensor that works the worn pad is connected on this pad . How do I disconnect the wire from the connector ? I tried to pull it apart at the joint but it seems connected inside . any suggestions ???

I just changed out my front pads on my '00 Golf at 60KM. I had uneven wear on the driver's side front. When I went to replace the pads with OEM, VW wanted $209.00. I said forget it and just cut the sensor off short enough to go in the boot and spliced it with a butt connector.

Put on some great pads from Performance Improvements and I've been happy ever since. Nice quality low dust.
