Mechanic says to make appointment and have air valve ( can't recall what he called it) removed and cleaned of carbon and other deposits which cause it to hang in the open position. I could not get it in for service at the time so he showed me how to trip the flapper manually. He says it takes a fair bit of time to service and I have not been able to get this done. I usually do most of my own work but I don't have a manual and the 94 did not have this gaget. A friend who looked at it said maybe I could remove the 3" bk hose and just lubricate. Any suggestions.
Also I would like to get a service manual

I wonder if the Computer hasn't lost the SKC (key code). I've tried to crank them before with a dead key, and that's exactly what happends. You can reach behind the Anti-shutter Valve and work the Flap by hand (it's vac. opperated). The times I've seen a anti-shutter valve stick, the car wouldn't fire period (unless the vac chamber is kaput).
