Highest Mileage EA288's?

Ok, who's got the most miles on an EA288 so far

Would also love to hear of any major mechanical/drivetrain issues

Mines got less than 5k on it so far

I doubt I will win the highest mileage award as I just got mine late August '15 but at 18,800 miles I have had no issues yet and am happy as a clam. I had to add a quart of oil this service interval but that is it.

26,000 as of this morning. I'm sure you're going to get Golf owners with well over 50k at this point, but also, IIRC, the EA288 has been here in the Passat for longer.

Only had a replacement DEF injector, which solved a non-critical issue.

Just hit 22,000kms today and bought it early July 15. Only warranty issue so far was my aux heater pump went (Check engine light) but no drivability issues. The one that gives you the interior pre heat if you put the heat to max and fan speed 2. Other then that no major issues.

Just hit 20k miles this morning in the golf, wife's wagon has 14k miles. No issues with either, no oil usage out of either, perfectly happy with both. Should be pushing 50k miles on the golf by year's end if my driving history stays the same as the last two years. Planning a tune, and maybe an exhaust and/or turbo upgrade with the golf as well this year!

20200 miles so far. On track for ~31000 after a year.

Only issues seen are a squeaky drivers seat and rear-view camera that cuts out when reversing quickly.

Actually the golf and Jetta were the first with the EA288. The Passat had an EA189 motor with SCR(def)

27k miles. Only a leaky DEF injector that has been replaced

I just finished my 30K mile service. Pretty much flawless operation. I did pick up a bad oil level sensor. Taking it in tomorrow for replace/repair.

I'm at 33K. I had a ripped CV boot at 25K, replaced under warranty, otherwise just typical maintenance items.

Can I join this thread? MY 2015 Passats and Jettas got the EA288. Totalled my 2003 ALH Jetta with 254K last year. Have 47K on my 2015 Passat (6M SE base model) bought new in March 2015. Been an awesome car, 0.0 problems with only a tire pressure sensor guage light on, will fix when I rerubber. Only complaint is 1st gear was a bit sticky, put the DG linkage in and it it great now. Just put Malone Stage 2 in, that's a sweet add as well. I drive 50K+ per year, hope to be posting (with still great reviews?) in the 100K, 200K, etc, threads in the next few years.

Update on the oil sensor. Turns out a mouse or something chewed through part of the wiring.

I just did my 40,000 service. so far mechanically the car has been great. I've had to fix a leaky def, fresh air flap malfunction, and the temperature mixture motor for heat and cold air had to be fixed. All under warranty but a little to many electrical issues so far in my opinion.

I get 50+mpg if I baby it. 47+ if I drive it like it's supposed to be driven.

62,000 miles, 2015 Audi A3 TDI. Took delivery October 30, 2014.

Only real issues have been with the MMI, the most serious one being that the GPS would lock up at random times. Of course it threw no codes and it never misbehaved for the dealer, but they finally replaced the unit under warranty and everything's been fine since.

31k miles since Nov 2014, no issues other then an annoying rattle on the passenger side. It goes away if I move the sun visor and mess with the middle arm rest.

I have a 2015 Golf TDi Highline. It had a very annoying rattle, it was traced to the driver's sun visor. The culprit was the Liftmaster garage door opener remote!! It was vibrating against the head liner and almost made a hole!

17,000 km, no problems.

49,000 kms, so just a bit over 30,000 miles. Only issue I've noticed is a slight buzz coming from the left tweeter of the Fender audio package. I'll get it sorted next time I take it in for an oil change.

Love the car. Looking forward to a tune and delete. No emissions testing where I live.

2015 Golf Sportwagen TDI. 9600 miles so far so good. and I average 48 mpg driving city and hwy combine to work at 37 miles one way everyday doing speed limit.
