1.9TD AAZ oil pan change

Hi

I'm going to change steel oil pan in my AAZ for aluminium oil pan from 1.8 AEB
Does the most of mounting holes have same dimensions ? (distance between them)

I see several differences in the pictures you have posted?

Different bolt pattern, looks like a different pickup position too.

Why would you want an aluminum pan? Cast aluminum tends to shatter if it ever gets tagged by road debris.

I installed a VDO D11 dashboard from A3 8L which uses an oil level sensor

And i like the look of the aluminium oil pan

If it is in a transverse application, you may have some clearance issues with the added bosses on the bellhousing end of the oil pan.

I'd love to have a steel pan instead of the balsa wood er I mean aluminum pan that came on my car.

What? Don't you ever open the hood? An electronic level sensor is just one more electronic gizmo that can develop problems.

I just simply like these kind of electronic things ,i open the hood quite often.
