Mk 6 alternator removal.

Hello, looking for help with my 2012 sportwagen tdi
Looking for information to get the car into service position. Do the headlights come out then the 4 bolt on each side come out while replacing 1 bolt with the service tool? Picture or two would be great !

Did this repair curbside right after buying the car.


Best way to access the alternator is to pull the front passenger tire and remove the fender liner.


If I recall correctly you don't have to completely remove the bumper, it can sag down on the passenger side (pretty sure I used the tire to support the bumper cover). Only need to remove the passenger headlight.

No special tools required.
