Jetta with intake air temp code and engine workshop

Going to dealer tomorrow is it covered? I hope so or else im stuck with a 100 diagnostic fee. Cel is on and it periodocally dings and flashes the glow plug light.

Getting code p1003 intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit high.

Still have 2 years and 20k miles on the extended emissions warranty.

just got a photo from the dealership, the wires were damaged, they appear to have been melted or somehow damaged. This won't be covered so it looks like i'm paying the diagnostic fee as well as fixing these wires myself. bummer.
dealer said they weren't routed correctly. do these wires get moved when they're doing the modification or what do you guys think?
