Default Very poor idle on COLD starts only! please help!

Ok, I posted a while back with this problem and didn't any responses.... Now the car is worse! It's a 2000 jetta tdi 145k miles, all regular maint. is done religously. Now, only first thing in the morning (about 60f out side)is the only time the car does this. It will start fine, but the idle is terrible. I would say 650-900 rpm's the motor will fluxuate for the first few mintes. You can rev the motor and it sounds fine but the idle is crappy and getting progressivly worse! After initial warm up the car is fine and will not display these symtoms again until stone cold. Someone suggested to me it was the engine coolant temp sensor, so I replaced it but nothing. Didn't fix a thing. So now what? I don't really have access to vag com so i guess it's just a guessing game? The CE light is on but that has been on since i had a GP failure. (which I fixed but didn't have the access to vag com to reset the light)Any help would be geat. Could it be engine timing or something??? But then it wouldn't run right all the time. right?

Try the Model specific area for your post... you have an A4 platform vehicle.

Get a VAG-COM and get your answer... that's what it's for... diagnosis.

could be a jillion things, clogged intake, scerwed up N75, leaky hoses, bad MAF sensor.

Go do a "search" in the A4 section for rough idle over the last 2 years.

Buy a service manual also.
