Does anyone happen to know the correct fuel rate adjustment for a Scan Gauge II to report correct fuel use and fuel economy? For a 2001 ALH engine with manual transmission, if it matters.

Just run it with the default fuel adjust. Fill tank to the same point, then adjust the fill gallons to the ScanGauge fuel used guess. Note: I found that splitting the difference 50-50 between fuel used and fill over a couple of tanks will result in a more accurate adjust factor. Prevents overshooting the calculation.

Is your car one that can have a Ventectomy??

If so do that first. Then you can get accurate fill results.
Then fill the tank to the brim, drive the tank out about
half way and fill to the brim again.
When you fill the car, click 'more' on your scan-guage, then 'fillup'.
You will see how many gallons of fuel the scan-guage expected you
to need. use the buttons to set this figure closer to reality. Then
press 'done'.
Do this each time you fill, usually it will be so close that no changes
are needed (after the first few times, and if nothing has changed).
