My car new came with 3 keys(2014). 2 remote switch blade fobs and a valet key, I have the KEYSS system with push start.
The valet key and one of the fobs live in our safe. In the last 4 years I have changed the battery in each fob once about a year ago. Had no issues with them and tested them both.
Friday my wife took our other vehicle and my fob. So I grabbed the fob out of the safe. It was dead and would not do anything. Used the valet key(painful to use) and did what I needed.
Today I put a new battery in the spare fob. Following the instructions on page 39-40 of my manual I "reprogramed" the fob.
It will start the car, and touching the handle will lock and u lock. But none of the buttons work. And if I play with it to long the horn starts to alarm.
*** is wrong with this Key? I hate my dealer so I don't want to pay them a visit u less I really have to. This fob has been used less than a dozen times in the last 4 years.
