Hello guys. Having issues with my boost pipes holding. Cannot seem to keep boost. Mpgs are down to 35mpg average. I was wondering. As i have a 1.8 paets car. If i can use the boost pipes on it as its a clamp style. See if that helps. Anyone have experience with this?

I don't know which piping you have, but have you considered using a couple of self-tapping screws to lock it into place? That is what I did on mine and my boost pipes have not popped apart since.

Interesting theory. But the problem the oversized seals keep blowing out. Theyll last a few weeks and then ill dtsrt losing boost pressure again.

Its noticeable too. Ill start failing to keep cruise control, the requested vs actual boost is 500+ mbar out.

Ill drop mpgs.

Ill see about set screws. But i didnt really want to drill holes in the piping.

Here is how i see it: if the pipes are not holding together or blowing out the seal, I figure before spending a chunk of cash on a replacement, try using screws as they are very cheap. If they don't fix the issue, at that point then spend money.
