Golf 2001 rims

I finally bought my first tdi. I got a 2001 golf. i want to change the rims and wonder if i should go with vw rims or aftermarket? I will get either 16" or 17'' rims i cant decide which

I like the 16" wheels that were on the Wolfsburg Jetta or the 17" Daytona (or is it Dayton) wheels that were on the NBeetle.

Both are the same MKIV chassis with the same 5x100 bolt hole spacing so are direct fit.

Used OEM are typically a much better value/quality than aftermarket.
